About the Festival
Held in Kinshasa under the high patronage of President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, the festival is an initiative of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in partnership with UN Tourism. A bridge between Africa, the Americas and the world, it celebrates music as a driver of tourism, identity and inclusive development — through conferences, exhibitions, live performances and cultural circuits, including Congolese Rumba, inscribed on UNESCO’s intangible heritage list.
